Originally
from New York , Dr. Charles Lamb has made South Bend his home since
joining CardioThoracic Surgery P.C. over a decade ago. Since that
time he has been an attending cardiothoracic surgeon at Memorial
Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, Elkhart General Hospital, St.
Joseph Community Hospital of Mishawaka and LaPorte Hospital.
After
graduating cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Lamb
earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
His medical training continued with an internship and residency
in General Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia
and a residency in Thoracic Surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Before entering private practice with CTS, Dr. Lamb was Clinical
Associate in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr.
Lamb holds board certification with the National Board of Medical
Examiners, the American Board of Surgery and the American Board
of Thoracic Surgery and is licensed in the state of Indiana. His
professional medical society memberships include the American College
of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the Indiana State
Medical Association, St. Joseph County Medical Society and St. Joseph
County Academy of Surgery. He is also a member of the American Heart
Association's Council on Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery.
With his wife, Candes, and their three sons, Dr. Lamb enjoys golf,
boating and travel.
